Fish paper is used to line generator rotor skid pans and help protect stator core surfaces during rotor maintenance, removal and installation. CasTech supplies plain light-gray rolls in multiple thicknesses and lengths and is preparing a dark-green two-layer option.
Which fish paper roll sizes are available?
All three light-gray rolls are 30 inches wide, plain and supplied without adhesive:

What is the difference between mil and millimeters?
A mil is one thousandth of an inch. For example, 30 mil is 0.030 inch, 25 mil is 0.025 inch, and 15 mil is 0.015 inch.
How do two 15-mil layers make 30 mil?
Two layers of 15-mil fish paper provide 30 mil of actual fish paper. The forthcoming plain dark-green roll is planned to be 30 inches wide and 30 feet long. Installers can use their own adhesive to attach the first layer to the skid pan and the second layer over it.
Fifteen mil is a widely used thickness. Longer production runs at this thickness help optimize manufacturing costs and support a more competitively priced option. Explore the forthcoming dark-green option.
How do I choose between a 20-foot and a 25-foot roll?
Both light-gray options are 30 inches wide and 25 mil thick. The 20-foot roll provides a shorter length for smaller rotor applications and skid pans; the 25-foot roll provides five additional feet of coverage. Consider the dimensions and quantity required for your job when requesting pricing.
How can I order or ask about samples?
